This reproduction BBS RM ring was made to fit better than the original - you can see the reduced gaps between the face and the ring; and the ring and the hex when you compare the last two pictures. The ring comes in black plastic. It's extremely easy to prepare for paint - we painted ours as an example and we didn't even need to sand it since there's a little bit of texture after being printed.
This listing is for our flat/smooth version - we also offer a ''dimple'' style version that looks like the original part, but has a cleaner look. The back of the ring has a rougher texture but it's just esthetic. Custom lettering on the ring is available on order, contact us for more detail.
